:: Karl Olandersson - trumpet Karl Olandersson, jazz trumpet player, was born in 1978 and grew up in Hedemora. Hit his first tones on the trumpet at the age of 2 (!) and this has been his instrument since then. Attended musical training at the Royal University of Music in Stockholm and has thereafter supported himself as a musician in various groups and styles. The jazz music is closest to his heart, from traditional jazz, swing and bebop to the 60's jazz style. He plays with Ronnie Gardiner Septett, Karl Olandersson Quintet, Karl Olandersson+Peter Nordahl Trio, Sigmund Freud´s Mothers (SFM), Sven Zetterberg, Mats Holmquist´s Stora Stygga and Dixie Con Fusion, Sky High XL (Clas Yngström). He's also been seen with the Stockholm Jazz Orchestra, Swedish Radio Jazz Group with Magnus Lindgren, Ulf Johansson-Werre Big Band Explosion, Hector Bingert Latin Lover Big Band, Lennart Åberg Seven Pieces, Carin Lundin Quintet, Ambassadeur and Rolf Wikström. He has an own recording out "Introducing" on Arietta Discs where he also sings.
